Big twin 40hp carb float upgrade

Just wanted let people know I've searched and searched for another option other than a cork float for the big win 40hp and I finally figured out how to get away from a cork float that ethanol fuel will eat through buy an 8hp briggs and stratton snapper lawn mower brass float heat the solder and remove needle arm take arm off cork float and solder to the new brass float hope this helps someone out I've attached some photos below

The cork float is still listed as the replacement today.----In my opinion that means it is very reliable.----OMC / BRP would not have that available if it was et up by ethanol in fuel. !!----I would not hesitate to install one.

I bought 5 of them they last a year and they're trash! Today's fuel eats the coating off of them. Since I've made the brass float I've had no more problems
