my rds21b super seahorse '59 35hp...

runs great, but the previous owner had removed the wires from the point sets that are used for grounding them out for shutdown purposes. ive got the flywheel off for the purpose of hooking them back up but I don't have any pictures of what the routing should look like. the seloc manual is of little help in this regard too.

what I have found are a couple of holes with rubber grommets in the mounting plate. I'm assuming these are for the grounding wires? they are about the right size for wire. but they could just be vents. also, do I have to attach the wire(s) to the stationary point or can I put it on onecof the screws on top of each coil?

I'm hoping someone knows exactly what I'm talking about here. if not, I can post a pic when I get out of bed. maybe someone could link to a pic of it done right?

someone, tashasdaddy? maybe had a link to a magneto plate with blown coils. not that i care about blown coils, but if it was wired right, maybe I could study it?

The wires connect to the fixed sides of the points. One for each magneto. The "kill" switch simply shorts them to each other.

that much I know. but can I put the wires on the coils instead of the fixed side of the points? do the wires go through the holes with the grommets in the magneto plate?

thanks
