I have a 1954 25 rude that has a shot power head but is otherwise complete, I was just given a 1957 rude 35 bigtwin power head, Will the 35 P/H bolt/swap onto the 25 lowers ? I do know that the 54 has a different stator plate & throttle set up, (cable) could this all work on the 35 P/H ? tks

There's quite a bit different between them, likely enough to make swapping powerheads a challenge. Mounting bosses for recoils are different, cowling mounts are different, carb linkages are different, mag plate linkages are different, etc. Not saying it couldn't be done, but it would be far easier to find a '54 & prior 25 powerhead...

Base gaskets are different as well. I have never tried, so cannot say for certain, but i dont think it would even physically bolt up would it?

Nuff said, I to was thinking that it would not be practicable, but just thought I'd get some better qualified opins.
