Bilge pump hook uo

Hi all,

I know I have another post on here about water in boat, but this this kinda related.. my old bilge pump took a c rap on the same day I got all that water. I have a switch on dash that's either on for manual or down for off/automatic..i had pump and a separate float switch that was in a 4 slot Molex plug that plugged into another one..pump had a brown and black and float had 2 Brown..both pump and float are shot. I cut the 2 wires from old pump about 3 inches from Molex plug..my new pump has 3 wires.2 brown and one black.it is automatic one from attwood.my ? Is how do i hook it up so I can reuse the Molex plug. The 2 Brown wires from old float is still intact after I cut other 2 and realized new pump is wired different.

This is the same as your original thread. The 2 browns are tied to 12V, one to the float and one to the manual switch, just like in your original drawing, just pay no attention to the brown/red

Ok..i try that. So I should be able to reuse the connector then?
