Bilge Pump Identification

I am replacing my bilge pump because I believe impeller is shot. Have a Rule 500GPH automatic. There is also a black puck in front of it with some ears on it that I am not sure what it is. Can anyone identify if this was a previous base to a different pump? Appears to be a solid base with a wire running to it. Is it a sensor for the Rule?

I cannot get either of these of the bottom of the boat so thinking I will mount a new one with float switch in front of both. Tips to get them off the hull, glued down.

Another thing is there was three wires going back to this area, 2 went to the Rule, 1 to the black puck thing. With the 2 wire pump and float I imagine just using the 2 wire from the old Rule is sufficient or do I have to run an additional wire?

it looks like a thru-hull transducer

Sorry for duplicate post, kept getting "Invalid Server Response" and tried again.

Yeah, as soon as I saw the FOUR identical threads, I knew exactly what was going on. Seems presently (I hope) the system pops up the error message any time you try to post your comment. Just click the OK box and move on. It posted. Not the most user friendly way, but it is what it is right now!

Any recommendations on how to get the old pump and transducer removed from hull, stuck on there pretty good.

I removed mine by giving them a firm whack on the side with a hammer. They often are set with epoxy. Mine popped right out and left the epoxy behind.

Is your depth finder working?

If it's a through hull, a whack on the side with a hammer will make a big hole in the hull.
