The other half wants to fish a bit more this year so I've decided to try and install a top. I have a 15ft gregor, tiller with a bowmount. Anybody have some suggestions on manufacturer, price and how cumbersome it will be to move around and fish with one on the boat? I also have a pedestal bass seat up on the deck. Thanks

I got one from here http://stores.ebay.com/SafeGuard-Co...d=680673329&_trksid=p4634.c0.m14.l1581&_pgn=2 and installed it recently. I'm very pleased with it although I can't comment on it's longevity since I just got it.

If you're looking for higher end than that, I'd imagine it would be tough to beat iboats for selection. I can stand up under mine but I imagine I have quite a bit more freeboard than you do.

Yeah I think that 2 bow would too flimsy. I'd definitely go with the SafeGaurd one over that one. I also got a cover from SafeGaurd at the same time and that was on my boat outside all winter and it held up great.

Does the top fold back during transport?

Why wouldn't you buy an in-stock liquidation sale Westland Bimini from iboats? $119 shipped is an AWESOME price!

That's what I did last year, saved a TON of cash! Couldn't be happier!

If they have your size, that would be a no-brainer.

as for how to set it up: on a small boat it's hard to get them tall enough to stand up under and move around; if they are too high they don't give you the shade. Since you have a high chair in the bow, I'd suggest setting it up toward the stern, so she can hang out back there, and you get shade while driving. You want it rigged so it folds back out of the way, as far back on the stern without interferring with the motor.
