bimini top

My bimini top looks like it has mildew on the bottom or underside of it. This top is one of the cheap ones with white marine vinyl on top and a canvas looking backing under. I've never rolled it up wet. What can I clean this with? What will keep it from coming back? Thanks for any ideas,<br /> dooger.

dooger, a good way to clean it would be to add some mild detergent like "woolite" and about a Half cup of bleach to a 1/2 bucket of warm water and use a soft brush to work the mixture into the canvas side and let it sit for 15 minutes and rinse thoughorly with a hose. Easier to do "OFF the boat" allow it to air dry.

Make sure that you rinse very thoroughly. Bleach is tough on thread.
