Re: bin laden next?

Hmmm. More pessimism.

It took many years to hunt down and pacify Geronimo, Sitting Bull, Crazy Horse and other strongly supported "enemies" of the U.S.

It may take many years to hunt down and pacify Osama Bin Laden, but it will be done, just as certainly.

We need to understand what "a long war" really means. It does not mean a few months or even a couple of years.

Americans need to learn patience. Ho Chi Min whipped the French, then us by simply outlasting our patience. We mustn't let OBL do the same.

Well said JB

Bin Laden is in Iran according to Monsor Ijaz and he says he is going to produce documented proof in " 3 or 4 days"

If true, Maybe Iran will cough him up soon to prevent a conflict.

no pessimism here, jb. i thought the article did well to explain the difficulties of finding bin laden, and why it would be different compared with the hunt for sadam.

You hit the nail right on the head JB, I agree 100%.

In reality, it took a very short time to find Saddam. After the first month, the liberals in this country were calling for the President's head because we had not found Saddam. Instead of supporting our troops and our President, they tried to use this as fuel for the Democratic party. Thats just pathetic! Funny how many of these same Democrats are back-peddeling now.

It will take much longer to find Bin Laden, but he will be found, dead or alive.

No intent to accuse you of pessimism, Mattttt. Your loyalty to "the cause" is well known and respected.

I found a pessimistic tone in the C&P. It is realistic to the point that it lists some of the difficulties involved.

I still think our biggest difficulties will be with the impatient, gossipy media and the left wingers with a 15 minute attention span.

JB,

I think 15 minutes (attention span) is being generous. ;)
