Black Friday High End GPS/Fishfinder Sales?

I am planning to be in Washington state for black friday this year and I am wondering if electronics go on sale? I am thinking of getting something like an HDS 7 or HDS8 or maybe two HDS 5's depending. I have not ruled out other brands either.

Can I expect to get any deals during black friday or are these high end electronics exempt from the christmas hoopla? What about other fishing gear? Are there any good stores that offer excelent savings during this time of year? Interested in everything from fishing line, reels, rods, tackle etc.

This will be my first black friday so I have no idea what to expect... except for crowds.

The high end stuff, be it electronics or fishing tackle rarely if ever go on sale. If you?re looking at middle of the road like the HDS or mid-priced tackle you'll find Spring to be the best time. The only stuff you'll see big discounts on in the winter are the discontinued models.

Well last year, BPS AND Gander's only special was on the Humminbird 788CI, which was shortly thereafter replaced by the HD model. Years prior were similar. So if they run a deal on anything, it's going to be a middle of the road, older model, as experience has shown me.

Raymarine has some pretty big rebates going on right now. $400 rebate for the A70. $450 for the A57.

Lowrance also will soon have some not quite as good rebates. $200 for the HDS 7, 8, and 10. $100 for the HDS 5.
