Removed the carbs today and adjusted the floats which took out the miss that my motor was having (yippee!!
) only to discover another issue when we got it in the water.
Basically, in order to get the motor to idle and ultimately run, I had to adjust the high speed jet plugs.....however;
When they are all the way in it doesn't get enough gas to even start....when I adjust them to the point where the gas barley stops leaking out of them the motor starts and idles fine and will run great for a while but the high speed jet plugs seem to vibrate loose and gas can be seen pouring out of the carb bowls.
I know gas shouldn't be pouring out of the carb bowls but then again adjusting the jet plugs so the are relatively loose is the only way I can get the motor enough fuel to run.
How do I get these things to maintain their adjustment?? Should I tighten the jet plugs and make an adjustment someplace else?
Thanks in advance! Happy 4th!!!
