I bought a 26 foot cabin boat a few months back and have been working on it non stop...... finally last night we got to take it out for a couple hours. This boat sat for over four years prior to me buying it, it was properly winterized but I know that only does so much. The carb was filthy, went from not being able to start it, to running a little rough to as far as I can tell fairly responsive and smooth. I cleaned the carb and have been using seafoam in the fuel. Now here is the issue, after we trailered the boat I noticed a black gritty liquid on my trim tabs and portions around the lower unit. At best described it is soot created from something. Is this something to worry about or is it just all the crap that was built up??? Sorry for such a long post, and thank you in advance!!!

Yup keep an eye on it. Youll always have some depending on your transom design.
