Black soot on prop

After running my boat I noticed black soot on my stainless steel prop where the exhaust exits. Is this pretty normal for a motor that has not been ran in a month and a half?

It's perfectly normal. Most likely due to the choke being on when you first start it up. Something you wouldn't notice with a black prop.

yep mostly normal. as a test run your finger up the tail pipe of your automobile. see if it has some carbon as well
