Apparently LadyFish looks like a terrorist.

I just returned from a trip to Arlington, Tx and was stopped and searched at both airports. I've learned to check every piece of luggage except my purse and breif case since they'll check it at least three times before I board.

I realize security was high because of the Super Bowl but, do I really look like a terrorist? First, take off shoes both ways, take off blazer, empty pockets, and the wand seems to target underwire bras, then get pulled aside and have them tell you "you have been selected by the airlines today to go through an additional security check" after all that.

I don't want to hear anyone of European decent complain about being profiled. Security is security no matter what you look like.

Dang straight! I fly several times a year. I am dark complected and I have a beard. I always get picked for the additional security checks, no biggie. I actually think that security is still to lax, and anyone could smuggle a weapon or an explosive device onto a plane fairly easily.

I assume they determined they were at less risk if they allowed you to keep the offending item?

Hmmm. That's one of the reasons why I don't fly commercial anymore, Ladyfish.

If it's accessible by car, I drive.

Have to agree with JB, if'n I can't drive there, I don't need to be goin.

I have never flown in my life, and I won't, unless I absolutely have to. I guess everybody has their phobias, and mine is flying. What is that called anyway, that fear of flying phobia?

I'm with JB and others, Fly?? Absolutely No Way. I've had enough of the strip search, Nazi tactics of airport security, what?? by some 'person' with a sub IQ, looking to make a qouta of random searches. Never again. If I can't drive there, I'm staying put.

a strip search? guess u looked too good that day! LOL
I never get searched. trick is to be talkative to
the last security person at the end of line, before
the metal detectors and x-ray machines.
was told this by someone who works airport security.

I don't even like to drive up and drop or pick someone up at the airport...

On the way in some over-zealous low rent yay-hoo with a badge (no offense to our fine law enforcement folks) gonna stop my truck and search it for no reason, not that I have anything to hide, just the point of the matter...

Mass Infectious Paranoia, thats what it is Ladies and Gentlemen..
