Hi there, I have spent the last two years rebuliding a 1984 Larson bow rider that was in great shape. so I was told. When I looked at it whe I got it home, I found the stringers were rotted, the floors was rotted. and musch more, foam was full of water. last week Saturday, I launched the boat. I dodn't do 200 feet from the dock and totaly blew the motor! Rods cam through the side of the block. I have had it with this boat, I put over $2000 into this boat, I don't have any more cash to throw at it. Any body have any idea what it worth? thanks.

Re: blown motor

sorry for your dilemma, the only way you will recoup anything is by parting it out....sell trailer separate from boat....tilt motor..prop...electronics...windshield ect...sold as is---$500 tops.

Re: blown motor

Take time to pause, look for a used engine same as the blown one, you'll already have a parts engine.

You'll know what to watch out for this time round.

What a bummer. If you like that design, I would look for a similar boat and make two into one. With the economy in the tank, there is a few extra boats out there. Always check eBay and Craigslist.

Agree. You've done the hard work already! Lots of rotted out, running boats out there.
