Blown Power Packs

Can someone shed some light on the Power Pack issues. As I have been diagnosing other electrical problems I have popped two of them. At least, I think I have. I haven't tested the 2nd one yet. But, I believe it is also popped. It seems that just cranking the motor over trying to start it has popped the Packs.

Is this normal? Any idea what could be triggering this?

voltage fed back through the kill circuit can do this, often times through a faulty ignition switch or ground

I did find a ground that was NOT locked down. Does anyone know if this is a potential root cause?
