Daughter asks if I know anything about this Blue Hippo deal that is in the papers and on TV.
Need advise as I don't know anything about the deal.

Looking at their site, all I can say is BAD BAD BAD

For their computer.....
The same computer that I can get from the local computer shop for around $600-700......

$99.00 "Activation fee" To start an acount with them,
Then $39.99 a WEEK for 52 weeks, *(A YEAR!)
That's $2178.48 for a not very good computer

It's a last ditch effort for people with zero $ and credit to be able to get into a paymet plan..... a bad one.

At these rates, it would be cheaper to pay 20% interest on a credit card on a better computer.

Never heard of them, but yeah, that's a HORRIBLE deal. I could easily build 4 computers with those specs for less money. But I wouldn't want 4, because they'd all suck.

If somebody can't afford a computer I would strongly suggest Dell...you'll get a GOOD computer for a GREAT price, and they have a credit plan. They often have refurbs that are better than that computer for $2-300 TOTAL.

Not only that, but you pay 6 weeks of the 35.99 up front also before they will order the machine.
I told her to run real fast away from them.
