ive got it all set up. one side to the engine, the other to the house loads. but as of now i only have my radio on the house loads side. what else should be with the house loads. what abut the power wire for the trim pump? should that be with the house loads or directly to the battery(and which one if yes). any help would be great

Everything but the engine instruments and the engine should be on the house battery. If anything is powered from the ignitions switch except the engine, then you need to rewire it. The accessory fuse panel should come from the house battery, not the engine.

Might help if we knew what you're working on? Outboard? IO? Years, model numbers.

It can. But if you have the battery switch set to OFF, you now have to climb in the boat, turn the switch on in order to operate the outdrive. Why not wire it to the battery so you can read over the boat to hit the trim switch without climbing into the boat. An automatic bilge pump should also go to the battery.

Hooking up to the battery terminal on the switch is fine, same as going right to the battery.
