My head unit is newer but does not hVe built in blue tooth. I've seen a couple types of adapters that can be added: 1) plugs into the 3.5mm stereo jack and is battery powered rechargeable and; 2) plugs I to the rear rca jacks and is wired to the stereo power so no need to recharge.

Does anyone have experience with either type? Looking for pros/cons of one type I er the other.

What I'm thinking now is the pros of the stereo jack one are that it is cheaper and no installation. Cons are that it needs to be recharged and it is visible.

Rca jack- pros are that no need to recharge and completely hidden when installed. Cons are a little more expensive but still only $30 and it requires a little more time to install

I would go with the one that plugs into the RCA jacks. Hidden+no need to recharge=winner, IMO.
