Boat and motor Storage for winter

OK here is the question, When putting the boat and motor away (18ft fish and ski with a 86 merc 150 v6) I usually keep a transom saver on the boat and motor but should i take that off and lower the motor all the way down for storage. Just wish winter wasn't coming so quick but that time of year is coming quick for us up north.

im no boat mechanic.. but.. im pretty sure your supposed to lower the motor all the way down... i hope this helps.. maybe someone else will tell you the same
