I was told by a co-worker that there's a company like AAA for boats. They give you a tow or a jump when needed for a monthly fee. Anyone heard of this? I live in las vegas so I'm on lake mead all the time.

BoatUS... It's an annual fee. worth every penny and then some. I've got my boat insurance through them, and it's excellent. I've got the Premium Gold towing coverage with trailer assist.

Here's a link. http://www.boatus.com/

Yup, it is a great program. And once you get coverage chances are you won't need it!

Check your area. There two big names - BoatUS and Seatow. My unlimited policy with BoatUS costs about $160 per year. I've never had to use it, but I wouldn't be without it.

160 a year for TowBoatUS and I pay a little extra for trailer care (something like 25 bucks?), which is roadside assistance for a trailer.

Even a modest tow on a boat costs over 400 bucks.

(I have boat insurance through BoatUS, too).
