I am considering purchasing a 1995 Neptune 200CC and the capacity plate is missing. Need to know max HP and max load. Am in Louisiana - will LDWF frown on a boat with no capacity plate? Boat does have S/N plate. Registration no problem.
Thanks in advance for any info anyone can furnish.
Fair Skys

Re: Boat capacity plate

If you post the first 3 letters of the hull ID, I can identify the manufacturer, and hopefully get you a phone number and address for them.

Here is a quote from the USCGuard site.
"NOTE: The Coast Guard Capacity Information label is required only on monohull boats less than 20' in length."

Here's a tidbit from the NADA site on your boat.I'm assuming that the 130 hp entry is the max rating.Boat was manufactured by Sunbird boats which is no longer in production.

Length: 20'
Model Name/Description: NEPTUNE 200 CC(*)
Boat Type: Outboard Boats
Hull Material: Fiberglass
Beam: 7' 8"
Engine: 1
130 HP
Gasoline
Net Weight: 2,085

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

roscoe and ob: Thanks a million for your quick responses.I'll try to get those numbers as a second check. I've seen some pictures of that model (later year) with a 150hp. Once again many thanks. Ya'll are what this board is all about!!!!
