Had a boating accident this weekend. (Not me but in my county) In a place called Jordan park..

Funny thing is, I could just hear the fire crew probably yelling (Stand up!! Staannndd uuuup) :)

This man made resivour has a max depth of 8 feet (about 10 years ago) right near the dam. 95% of the pond is about 3-4 feet deep.

But I glad everyone made it out ok.

TOWN OF HULL (WAOW)--Portage County Emergency Crews race to Jordan Park to rescue two people after their fishing boat capsized Tuesday afternoon.

Rescue crews said the two were near the middle of the lake when their boat started to take on water. The boat soon overturned and the two needed help.

"It wasn't that deep in that area they were not in a lot of danger at the time but their feet had become entangled in ropes so that was a concern," said Captain Kevin Lemke of the Stevens Point Fire Department.

No one suffered serious injuries. Fire Fighters said despite a spike in people on lakes and ponds this time of year, situations like this are rare. To avoid problems on the water, rescue crews recommend always having a life jacket and avoiding fast water near dams
