Who makes a good boat. I am looking at upgrading to a open bow run about. Are there makers out there that use all composite materials etc. Thinking brand new or fairly new take care of it and keep it for the long term.
Kind of rhetorical question . . who makes a good boat. There is 'fair', 'good', 'better' and 'best' you could say . . . something for every budget. The VEC hulls, Glastron's, Larson's and a few others have received some attention, because they are mostly composite . . . not entirely wood free, but more so than other boats.
You can Google a bit and find some manufacturers that are all-composite - no wood. Southport is one of them, I believe . . mostly center console boats though.
