Re: Boat Cover Material

Had sunbrella on old boat (cover was about 7 yrs old) did not like it. changed shape frequently. one day a snap is right on the next you have to adjust poles.

had top gun made for it. always fit right, water proof, easy to clean. sold boat cover still looked like new @ 3 years old.

bought another boat had TG cover made right away. fits great, no water intrusion.

make sure they put vents in. if you have poles they should put in dome-like plastic vents where the poles go. if no poles my father's boat has vents sewn in. make sure they do it right.

Re: Boat Cover Material

ww
Thanks for the reply. I am thinking the TG material is more water proof as you said. It has a stiffer feel to the sample I have than the Sunbrella. It's like it has some type of coating. Does TG breath? The descriptions I read all sound almost alike between the TG and Sunbrella.

Anyone else with experiences with TG or Sunbrella for boat covers?

Thanks
eric
