Boat cover question

Well I'm back, and having lots,of fun with my little Sunbird Corsair. In fact, I'd like to keep the boat at our dock this,summer. I need a good cover for the boat while its docked. It does not have a snap on canvas cover. In fact the only snaps on the boat are along the windshield.
What are the best options for a cover for the boat while its docked sitting in the water.
can I install snaps,on it and then buy a cover that will snap on?

Usually a canvas maker installs snaps and them makes a cover that fits to the snaps. A canvas maker knows where to put the snaps. Often, in the process of making the cover, additional snaps are added as needed.

Once the canvas maker makes the cover, he marks the cover where the snaps go and then trims the cover and adds snaps and reinforcement at the final stage. You can not make a cover without having the boat there unless you make a very good pattern first.

I just finished my snap cover. It's not perfect but it's water tight!
