Hi I bought a boat and it had recently been painted in the hull k was winterising it and I discovered this small wet patch on the side of the boat where there seems to be slight damage to the hull and a little wet patch I was just checking to see what I shoukd do about it and also if you rub you hand on the paint there will be red paint left on you hand

Ayuh,..... Welcome Aboard,...... I'm guessin' that's ablative bottom paint, so no surprise it rubs off on yer hand,....
It's a controlled loss paint,.....
As for the wet spot, that'll take more investigation,.....

It’s a rio ole 400 about 40 years old but been fully restored and the temperature won’t go below 5 degrees Celsius

Yeah I’m not so worried about the paint rubbing of it’s the wet patch where there seems to be a slight damage that concerns me

Hi I bought a Rio ole 400 last year and used it all worked perfectly did not have any water entering apart from a small amount in waves before putting it away for the winter I discovered this small wet patch and slight damages in the hull the boat had been recently painted and I wanted to see if it was a worry as I was planning on gettting her back on the water this week

Greetings . . . Welcome to iBoats. :)

You should fix that before putting the boat back in the water.
