I got a call from my marina that my boat was full of water. There was about 5 inches of water in my boat. Got all the water out. Started it up, took it out of the water. Inspected the back end and found a hole in the bottom rubber tube/boot. I was told that the boot/tube is for the exhaust. And my buddy said he thought that he heard that if that has a hole in it that it wouldnt cause it to leak, only to be louder? Which doesnt make sense to me. Any thoughts? It is leaking around driveshaft area. Driveshaft boot looks new.
