I just bought a sea ray searayder 1993 and I cant figure out where to hook up the hose so I can try and start it at the house. I took the boat out to the water and I couldn't get it to start and not sure what I might be doing wrong. I have pulled the clutch and we made sure the fuel valve was open. there are 2 buttons and they seem to be for the hull one is for a pump I believe we did not try those though. can someone please help me understand this boat more I don't want to take it in and pay just for them to tell me something dumb. help please!!!!

Pulled what clutch????? Is this boat an I/O or an outboard? What engine is in/on this boat? We can't be of much help unless you give us more detailed information. Just because it is a SeaRayder (which I never heard of) doesn't mean they all came with the same engine. Are you sure it's not a Sea Ray? Starting procedures differ for an I/O vs and outboard. So why not tell us what you did to try and start the engine after giving us more detail about the power plant.

it is a inboard and it has a 90 sport jet motor. we made sure that the switch was pushed in which is attached to a lanyard that has to be attached to you so it stops the motor there is a clutch that we were told you have to push like a primer switch you push before starting it. it is a sea ray but I guess its called sea ray is who makes the searayder. I have pictures but I cant figure how to upload them here just keeps giving me a file error
thank you for all you help

The switch you mention is the "man overboard" switch or "kill switch" which ever you prefer to call it. But your boat does not have a "clutch" but it may have a drive disconnect that allows fast idle without the boat moving.. Since a 90 Sport Jet is a Mercury outboard power head driving a jet drive unit, that engine is a 3 cylinder two stroke. So here are a few tips just in case you are not aware:
1) make sure the oil reservoir is kept at least 1/2 full of TCW-3 outboard oil at all times. Check it before every trip.
2) You typically need to squeeze the primer bulb (located between the fuel tank and the engine) until it is firm. This usually only needs to be done for the first start after the boat has not been run for several days.
3) You raise the fast idle lever about half way.
4) You then turn the key to START and PUSH IN on the key while cranking the engine.
5) When the engine fires, release the key.
