Boat ID and year

If I'm reading this correct it's a 1973 comet made by traveler, but from what I've found I understand they stopped making boats in 67 or 69 can anyone help with this. Thanks in advance

your looking at a serial number plate (used until HIN's came out in 1972)

they didnt have year of manufacture in most serial number plates

what does the paperwork say it is? no paperwork, then you know the serial number of your new yard planter

Probably not a 1973 . . . Else it would have a HIN on the starboard side of the transom.

Looks 1960's
