I acquired a 1973 Lund serial number 619082, listed as 15 foot 11 inch not sure if I need a short shaft or long shaft outboard, the transom measures around 19.5 inches I seen post relating to 15 and 20 inch transoms but nothing in between seems like I am on the edge of a short or long shaft but not sure any other information about the boat will be helpful. I also have a 18 hp and all steering parts to put steering in if I can the 18 is a short shaft. If I can use a short shaft can I put all my steering in it the 18hp does not have anything for rear steer.

If your transom is 19.5" it's much closer to 20 than 15.
Go with a long shaft motor 20".

Can't tell you anything about the boat, but this is how you measure to determine shaft length needed.
