I have a 2002 Glastron sx 175. I'm having trouble finding how much my boat weighs and what size boat lift I'd need. 2500#? 3500#?

Thanks,
Jeff

Re: Boat lift

I don't know what your boat weighs, but I will say to ask yourself if you plan on buying a bigger boat in the future. If the answer is yes...then I would plan on buying the heavier lift now. That way, one more potential issue is already out of the way;)

Re: Boat lift

Not planning on upgrading boats any time soon. We tried a 1500# lift last summer and the pulleys snapped. 2500 is a lot cheaper than 3500 so just wondering if that is enough to hold it or if we need the 3500

Re: Boat lift

Is that 1,980 dry or full of fuel?

So by the time one adds all the gear and fuel, ya might be getting close to the 2,500. Might even exceed it if you'll be lifting with folks in the boat.

As other have mentioned, go a size bigger so when 2-footitist hits, ya can keep the current lift.

Perhaps ya can find a decent used 3,500 lift for the price of a new 2,500 lift?
