Hello. I have a 90hp Mercury motor on a 16 ft fiberglass boat that I want to haul 800 miles to a new location. I have the motor lifted for trailering and the trailering manual 'tabs' in the locked position. however, I'm a little nervous about the stress on the transom, especially since I just completely redid it 2 years ago. I'm thinking a good support for the motor would support the motor bottom end to the boat trailer for maximum strength. Is there something out there that would work for me, or possible a home made version I could assemble myself?
