i am trying to find out the year of my boat motor . its a mercury 115 serial number is<br />oa986241 if anyone could help me i would greatly <br />appreicate it....

If it is oil injected, why don't you trust it?<br />The Mercury autoblend systems are very good...<br />If you have any doubts, why not get it checked out by an OB specialist as part of your preventative maintainence.<br />If you want to disconnect it, do a search on iboats and you can see what's involved.<br />It will have a warning beeper that will tell you if it has a mal-function.
