Happy Sunday.

My idle hands and brain are working overtime this Winter in regards to the Sara Belle. We have about a month and a half until the MN boating season starts.

Last year we named our boat. Of course I put the graphic on a tad crooked. I believe I will be replacing it again this Spring.

I would like to add where the boat is from, "St. Paul". The questions are, is it proper a.) to spell out "Saint"? b.) add the state? c.) Spell out the state or abbreviate

Thanks,
Ollie

I have seen locations written just as you would when mailing a letter. I have seen state written out as well. I guess it depends on your space... if you can get town and state all on one line, i would abbreviate. If they are going to be on different lines, i would spell out the state. The saint and st. would be your personal choice. Goodluck! And dont get it crooked this time :)

Re: Boat Name Etiquette

If you document your boat with the Coast Guard, the boat's name and the city/state hailing port is required to be on the boat. However, any type of typical abbreviations are acceptable. With a non-documented boat, put any ol' thing on it you want! :)

When you get the boat with "Sara Belle, Saint Paul, Minnesota, United States of America" all on one line in at least 6 inch letters; Let us Know! :D
