Hi everyone,
I’m looking for advice with painting my boat. I spent 2 days prepping it- paint stripper - bare aluminum - power wash/soap- then used acetone to clean. The boat sat in the sun for a day and I started the self etching primer. I did scuff the aluminum lightly before applying.
My question is this ... we had crappy weather so the self etching didn’t get covered. Do I need to scuff the self etching primer before I add the primer ? Also which type of primer should I be using over the self etching?
Any tips/advice would be great. The self etching went on really good (2 coats) I did the finger nail test (tried scratching it off).
