boat pulling to right

i have a 1988 16ft fishing boat just put a 2001 yamaha 50 horse t50 motor on it that came off my pontoon boat did not pull on pontoon boat but now flat out on plane it pulls really bad to the right also at low speed below plane the steering wheel wants to move side to side the boat had no steering problems with old motor the tab right above the prop looks to be turn dead center also i did have to change the prop out had to go from a 11 pitch to a new 15 pitch <br />anyone have any ideas<br />thanks del1954

del,<br /><br />The tab you are referring to is the trim tab. Sounds like it needs to be adjusted. Your pontooon was heavy enough to compensate.<br /><br />Turn the rear edge of the tab in the direction of the pull. Go easy on the adjustment. A 1/4" or so will do alot.
