Re: Boat Ramp Courtesy

We seem to have unwritten rules in my area for launching a boat.
1.Always jack-knife the truck trailer on the ramp taking up at least 2 lanes.
Common sense rule: always unload pre loaded coolers (3 bags of ice w/ 2 cases of drinks), kids, MIL, 100 towels, 25 blow-up toys, and 6 bags of food, while boat and trailer are still in water waiting an attempt to unload (I call it the trail run).
2.Once unloaded pull the boat up on the ramp and allow it to float side-ways across the ramp to block the reat of the ramp.
3.Have a truck that is hard to start on the ramp.
4.Walk slowly from the parking lot to the ramp (must run back to get your flip-up sunglasses).
5.Then to top it off never...I mean never start your motor before leaving the house. Wait until you get to the ramp, and ask around for some jumper cables, or if anyone knows about repairing your engine.
