Hi i have a 26 foot panga skiff i got from a friend the inside of the hull need some layers but I can't afford woven roven I can only afford schop string matting for layups for the hull to make it stronger, Can anyone please help me in recommending how many layers

You have got to do it right. Get the roven. Or 1708 or whatever for the resin you using. Using CSM would take twice as much and cost more anyway.

Nothing very strong about chopped mat. So, go for the 1708 cloth (or similar).
