Hi,
I live about 30 minutes Northwest of Philadelphia, and I am looking for a marina for upcoming season 2015 for my 21 ft cuddly cabin. This is my second season, but last season I only able to dipped the boat in water 3-4 times in various spots, so I am still newbie.
I?ve been torn between Schooner Island marina, and Mear Great Oak Landing marina. BUT if you have anything closer or cheaper (I don?t need pool, but shower is a must) I am listening.
My main thing-to-do is cruising, hang around sandbar, and light fishing or crabbing, with family and friends.
I was stayed in Schooner Island last year (for few days), and I do like that marina, but a friend told me Mear Great Oak Landing is much better for family and kids. Beside he told me in Chesapeake, water really calm in the bay that I could anchor and sleep overnight anywhere in the bay (that's something I probably would entertain). I?ve never been in Chesapeake Bay.
Anyone have any opinion both marinas above, or suggest anything near by those two I?ve mentioned.
Beside the 4[SUP]th[/SUP] of July week (I have a full week off), all other times I only be able to go there Mondays. So if I can pay little cheaper even I?ll get a less amenities in a marina, I would definitely interesting to know.
Thank you in advance for any feedbacks.
Happy boating season of 2015!!!
