Boat support points for winter storage

I've been wondering about how to build the boat stands for winter storage. Typical set up that you see is the boat is supported by a stack of wood blocks under the keel in the bow and two support points in the stern. However, would it be correct to place the stands under the chines in the stern or support the hull where the stringers are running inside the hull (and where the motor is sitting)?

Typically, the keel blocks are: One on the bow, one midship, and one at the stern. Depends on the size of the boat wich you didn't tell us. Stands: Two at the transom, two at the bow area. Again, depends on the size of the boat, you may need to add stands midship.

My opinion, when talking smaller boats, say 20-22' and smaller, good practice is to build a stand that supports the transom and is the correct width to support the boat directly below the stringers. This will pretty much eliminate any chance of warping the bottom. No big deal on many boats, but on performance boats, a hooked bottom (very often caused by poor support in storage), can be the kiss of death, limiting otherwise available performance big time.

I'm leaning more and more towards the same approach (my boat is 23...something) that I will build a support/stand in such a way that approx ft x ft and inch thick plywood plates that will be positioned below the stringers, maybe where the motormounts are inside.
The other way, stand below aft corners/chines seems kind of stable because of the width, and you see that a lot around here, but I kind of doubt any boat is built in a way that the whole weight of the stern is loaded on corners...or?

When you get into larger boats that are often supported on keel blocks and jacks, I think you're talking about a boat built with much thicker fiberglass, and an actual keel that might not exist on smaller designs..

Full length stringers and keel for me too. Gotta support something supportable. Always thought trailers with full rollers (no bunks) were a great idea but always wondered with so few points of contact, what about dimples in the hull. Don't recall seeing an older rig of the sort and whether or not dimpling occurred.
