boat trailer rewire project

rewired my boat trailer with a basic wiring harness 4 wire, tested and everything worked great, my tail lights have two wires plus ground, so i then ordered my side marker lights(one wire lights) to each brown wire on each side, now my brake lights don't work, any ideas?

With a 4 wire plug you should have it wired like this Brown wire Tail / side lights Yellow wire Left Turn / Brake Green wire Right turn / Brake White Ground I would run a white wire to each of the tail lights and you said the side lights have only one wire so connect the White Ground wire to the trailer frame also.
