some reason i can get boat trim to go up but i cant get it to go back down i was wondering waht u could tell me i can do to fix i would be so thank full if u could tell me david

Dose the pump make noise when you try to put it down? Need a little more.

I had the same problem with my trim. Trim motor ran, moter would tilt up and down fine, but would bottom out at trim tabs. Would not trim down (moter would bog down). I pulled the trim unit apart and cleaned up all the check valves. Works fine now. I'm guessing that there was dirt in one of the check valves.

I have also seen this happen because of low oil in the hydraulic system.

...and sometimes it is due to a bad or dirty relay switch.

Funny... this happened to me now, just yesterday. Apparently, boats are so fragile that if you even talk about them breaking, they will.
