If anyone is looking to do their own upholstery, this is a really good Home Machine to start with. I used the exact same machine to do mine with excellent results. I paid $75 for mine and it will sew 6 layers of Vinyl with a #18 Needle and #65 Upholstery Thread. This is an all metal HEAVY machine that will handle the heavy material. It is NOT a walking foot machine but for the money it will do the job.
