I have a 19'6" Sea Fox with a 115 Saltwater Mercury (2 months old). I towed a small jon boat about 2 miles back to a dock because it was out of gas. After I dropped the guy of and headed out on the river I noticed a bad vibration in my boat once I hit about 6mph and of course the faster the worse it got. When I tried to open it up it just bogged down. Does anyone know what could have cause this?

Re: Boat Vibration

Sounds like you either banged your prop or picked up some weeds...check it out. Did you notice the problem when towing? ;)

Re: Boat Vibration

Sounds to me like you fouled a spark plug.
It is not uncommon to foul a plug when you are running the motor and not really working it.
Make sure your running the Oil the manufactuer recommends, and that it has the corrct Spark plugs in it. I Always carry spare plugs, and in a Merc/Mariner, I have had the best luck with NGK plugs, Good Luck and Good Boating.
