Re: Boat wont pee? 1986 Force 50

I'm new to this site but I have a 19foot maxum with a 125 force outboard that I have owned now for about 4 years. When I got out on the lakefor the first time it was also not pushing water out very well at idle. I replaced the water pump impeller and took it out on the lake. Worked great with now problems at idle or wot. The impeller is a good place to start and a low cost fix. If your water pump housing or impeller housing had a gasket then you will need to replace it as well. I hope this will help and good luck. One thing I have learned is the water muffs work well but on tthe water will tell if it's working the way it should.

Tach and stuff 002.jpgThe 50 needs special muffs.See pic.It will overheat with regular muffs.
Just as a precaution replace the impeller. Then rebuild the fuel pump and check/replace the hoses.Install a filter between the carb/pump.J
