For weeks now I can go to Boatinfo site, find the manual I want to look at. Then select the one and it starts churning, I see the dark page of need Adobe flash 9 or higher and it never goes beyond that. Don't know if it is my computer settings or something else. Anyone else having any issues?

Re: Boatinfo site

works ok for me too.
imho, spend the money and get the book wherever. i did ebay a long time ago and got just what i needed for 25-35 dollars. oem mercruiser service manuals.

personally, i got the book + pdf versions. the book being the better of the two and worth the money spent.
i use the pdf to get the idea of what i'm gonna be doing while sitting at my desk. i likely read it several times.
then, when i do the deed, i take my book with me and follow the instructions that i've already familiarized myself with.

boatinfo is good, and it's the right info. it's just not in a format that makes it easy for me to work with when i'm doing the deed.

Re: Boatinfo site

I recall there may be one manual that may not work and some may take a long time to load.

Also I'm not sure of my settings but when I use my firefox it will not load any of them but my Internet Explorer will load them. Problem is when I try to move the manual slide selector in IE, it will not go low enough to use the mouse cursor arrow to slide them but I can slide them in FF. So I just use both now as a habit.

The online manuals are nice to use as a reference to help other forum members find what they may need as a guide but like others have mentioned above, it's so much nicer to have the hard copy right next to you when working.

Plus I don't believe they are printable? I believe it was you AD that mentioned that to someone in the past? Not sure.

What manual number are you looking for?

Try ctrl - and that will shrink the page a little and you might be able to go low enough. When you are done hit ctrl +

Re: Boatinfo site

I use Boatinfo for doing research for question here on iboats. I have already downloaded a lot of manuals as I find them (Have around 35 so far). Personally I don't like messing with Boatinfo but in many cases it is the only place to show to a poster.

The manual just doesn't come up for me to look at. It must be on my end so I'll keep trying different things to see if I can figure it out. I am using IE 11

I figured it out, I had flash player 11 installed along with flash player 12 plug in. Uninstalled both and reinstalled full version 12 and it all works

How in the heck did you figure that out? Flash crashes for me all the time these days on all my computers. I need to check this.

Went to add/remove software and found the 11 full program and the 12 plugin. Figured due to dealing with other software updates that this could be an issue. Current version for my 64 bit machine said it was 12.0.0.77. After seeing that I uninstalled all flash and reinstalled latest, and everything started working.

Thank you so much for the tip, I almost didn't mention it but now I'm glad I did since it worked.:)
