Patching this Supra, the damaged has been covered up at least twice already. The hull has seperated from the fake stringers, so this really isn't fixing anything.

Not my shop, I don't know what the boss is doing for warranty on this.

No, I work in a small repair shop.

So, yesterday sucked. Turns out, I didn't put catalyst in my last cup of resin, and my last layer of mat was still wet. So I had to clean that mess up, and the other side started leaking water again. Supervisor helped me out on that one. He filled it with duraglas while I was cutting glass. So yesterday I glassed both sides, sanded them, and got it all ready to gel.
I brushed it today, and the guy picked it up around 2.

Not much interesting, but I spotted in 3 colors of flake today. Looks like I forgot to take a picture after I cleared it though.

I finished the Skeeter yesterday and started on a Ranger. A good bit of damage on the bottom, with lots of water coming from the biggest one. Ground and glassed everything but that yesterday. Today was some more grinding, and packing the hole with duraglas to seal the water off before I glassed.
Also, the boss and supervisor took off to some races for the rest of the week, leaving me with the minimal authority that comes from bei g the most senior guy left.

Any bets on how long it takes me to go mad with power?

Yesterday, thinking I had all the bodywork done, I found a nice long crack. So I geound and glassed it yesterday, and today I sprayed the flake and sanded down the glass.

Curious. What’s your go to fairing product for below the waterline?

It's just bondo and duraglas. Same stuff for autobody work. We've been using USC stuff for a while.

Remember, it's just to fill small imperfections. You want like 90% glass.

Finished buffing the Ranger today. I have a light tied to my cart, and it looked good with that, so I thought I was done earlier. Then I wiped it off with a microfiber and looked at it with a handheld light and saw buffing swirls everywhere, so I had to make that look better. I got the flake looking pretty nice, boss said don't worry about the bottom.

The ranger is done and in the wash bay. Next is a Basscat getting a hamby and a cheap fix to some damage at the back. Pic won't upload at the moment.

It's been a while. I've been waiting for the pictures to work again.

Then I worked on a semi for about a week or so. I filled in all of the holes in the cab roof, gelled it, and the supervisor had to paint it because I can't reach the back without laying on it.






Yesterday I finished a Malibu that had the front fin broken off.

That Peterbuilt is an interesting hull design! It doesn't seem like it would plane off very well, and doesn't look like a good displacement hull either ...
