Bog at 1,900 RPM

I have a 2 bbl Mercarb (Rochester 1389-9562) that feeds an Alpha 1 3.0 l. The engine bogs between 1,850 and 1,950 rpm. I'm sure similar questions have been asked a few thousand times but my search fu is weak... Regardless, can anyone direct me to a decent post/page that lays out troubleshooting carb issues.
