I have a 1996 120 hp Force outboard. It runs good and can get up to about 5000 + a little but if I try to go full throttle it boggs down. I reduce the throttle and it runs good again. I can run it with no problem for a long time at rpm as stated above. Check compression--all 120+. Check spark--good. Check fuel output by disconnection hose to carb and turned engine--plenty of fuel. Tried pumping bulb while it was bogging down and nothing changed. Sounds like it surges--slightly while trying to go full throttle but boggs when full. Been reading and trying different fixes--but nothing changes. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Fuel was old but added new fuel--over half a tank. Thought it would have even it out. Gas looks good. Help!!!

I highly recommend you start your own thread. There is a very good reason for that and one for sure some member do not stay here forever. Other's only come here when they have problems with their motors, etc. You could end up waiting forever for a response. However, if you start your won thread at least regulars in this forum can pitch in on how to resolve your problem. For quick and direct resolution I suggest the following.

1. Specifically ID your motor, make, year, hp, style, model, etc.
2. Detail the problem as much as you can and what actions you have tried and all the symptoms.
3. If you can post pics.

Remember, it's very hard as it is to diagnose problems in person so don't expect anything better when doing the same over the Internet.
