Boggs Down At High Speeds

Hello
I Have A 88 Force 85 Hp . It Runs Great Except At High Speeds .it Will Run Good At High Speeds Sometimes For 15-30 Mins Without A Problem Then Starts To Bog Down And Lose Power And Hesitate Really Bad .if I Bring The Throttle Back To Idle And Acelerate Again Its Fine For Another 15-30mins .??????????????????????
Any Suggestions Would Be Appreciated Driving Me Crazy

I'm not a mechanic, but maybe try two things..

-Possible overheating, check water pump/pressure?
-Something in the fuel line/filer/tank that's restricting flow and when you back off th throttle it dislodges it?

I find my 90 Force builds carbon on the plugs quickly and I have started to clean them every other week. Long trips like that seem to speed this carbonation.

I had the same thing happen on occasion with my 50 hp Force. Like what you experience I could back off the throttle and keep it running. If I didn't back off the engine would quit but I could restart. I had a mechanic look at my motor for a different issue and mentioned the bogging on occasion at high speed. The mechanic noticed a small crack on one spark plug boot (a $3 part). He replaced the boot and it has never occurred again. You never know, it's at least worth inspecting your wiring for wear or cracks?

check the float height. I had the same problem of bogging out at WOT for the longest time and it killed me. Float height was the culprit for me
